An honest letter from Arkrocket
We read every single review. The good ones, the bad ones, the ones that made us wince. This page is our response — not to defend ourselves, but to talk to you the way we wish we could: honestly, directly, and without a filter.
Why we exist
A genuine Rock-Ola or Wurlitzer jukebox costs $8,000 to $15,000 today. The mechanical record changer, the coin mechanism, the hand-assembled chrome — it is a miracle of mid-century engineering, and it is out of reach for most people who love it.
We started Arkrocket because we thought that was wrong. We love jukebox culture — the light, the sound, the feeling it puts in a room. We didn't want to watch it become something only collectors with deep pockets could experience.
So we built an affordable alternative. Not a perfect one. Not a Rock-Ola. But something real, something that plays music, lights up a room, and carries the spirit of what a jukebox is — at a price that doesn't require a second mortgage.
That is our mission. We are not done improving. And we will never stop standing behind what we sell.
Real reviews · Real responses
These are real verified purchases. The platforms we sell on don't allow us to reply to reviews. So we're replying here.
Lynsie — this one is on us. The Taurus II stands 41.5 inches tall without a stand, 48 inches with one. That is a real jukebox. But photos don't show scale well, and we haven't done enough to show what it actually looks like next to a person in a room.
The Saturn V stands 51 to 62.5 inches and weighs 76 pounds — a significantly different presence. We wish you had reached out before returning. We would have helped you choose the right one.
We now include detailed size guides on every product page. It should never be a surprise.
We are genuinely sorry. A CD player that repeatedly errors is a defective unit — we don't hide from that.
Before returning a 76-pound jukebox to a UPS store, please contact us. CD errors often have a specific identifiable cause. In many cases we can resolve it remotely. If we cannot, we send a replacement part or swap the unit. We have done this hundreds of times.
Email us at [email protected] with your order number. We will not let you walk away with a jukebox that doesn't work.
Sound loss after a period of use almost always has a fixable cause. In many cases, a system reset takes 30 seconds. But "no sound" can also mean a source input switch, a Bluetooth connection holding priority, or a volume setting — all things we can walk you through.
Please contact us before concluding it cannot be fixed. We have technical guides, replacement parts, and the ability to swap units. What we don't have is a way to reach you through the platform we sell on. That is the gap this page exists to close.
Conway — being bounced between warranty providers when you just want a working jukebox is unacceptable. You're right to be angry. That's not support. That's a runaround.
Our 1-year manufacturer warranty is direct with us — not through a third party. Lights working but nothing else is a hardware fault we are responsible for.
Email us at [email protected] with your order number. If we can't fix it remotely, we send parts. If parts don't solve it, we replace the unit. That is our promise.
A light failing within 18 months is a quality failure. We acknowledge it. The LED strips are replaceable — standard tape, available at any hardware store, and we guide you through it. We should have made that clearer from the start.
On the sound: the Saturn V delivers 2×15W stereo. Warm, room-filling, not audiophile-grade. At $1,999 we are not competing with a $5,000 hi-fi system. We are competing with the silence of a jukebox you can't afford. That trade-off is honest. You may disagree — and that's fair.
And then there's this.
This review means everything to us — not because it's five stars, but because it describes exactly what we believe in. A defective unit is not the end of the story.
The person at the warehouse that day wasn't following a script. That's a small team that genuinely cares whether you end up with a jukebox that works. This is the company we are trying to be every single day. We don't always get there. But we never stop trying.
The Saturn V's lighting zones are controlled by a separate remote. One button can switch a zone off — it looks like a malfunction. It almost never is.
This is exactly what breaks our hearts about reviews we cannot respond to. Conway's lights stopped working. Someone else's sound disappeared. In most cases, there is a fix. A quick message. Thirty seconds.
We cannot reach you through the platforms we sell on. But we are always here at [email protected]. Always.
The honest numbers
UPS and FedEx raise domestic freight rates every single year. Our Atlanta warehouse shipping costs have increased significantly — and we have absorbed every penny of it rather than pass it to you. Our retail prices today are not far from where they were years ago. Our margins have paid the difference. There isn't much margin left.
Before you leave a review
The platforms we sell on do not allow us to contact you after a purchase. We cannot respond to reviews. We cannot reach out when something goes wrong. Your review may be the only signal we ever receive that something failed.
We are asking for one chance to make it right before you make that decision. Most problems have a solution. Some take 30 seconds. Some take a replacement part. Some, rarely, require a new unit. We will cover all of it. But only if you let us know.
We are not perfect. We have never claimed to be. But we are here, we are listening, and we will not stop supporting our products or our customers.
We are a small team. Every star rating affects whether people find us, whether we can survive, whether we can keep building better jukeboxes for people who love them but can't spend $8,000 on a Rock-Ola.
Your rating matters to us — not as a metric, but as a message. Please send it to us first. We will respond.
A real person reads every message and responds. No bots. If something went wrong, let's fix it together.
